Lo primero que llama la atención de Bostofrio, un pequeño pueblo del norte de Portugal, es que sus habitantes parecen tan silenciosos como sus paisajes. Los montes, los caminos de tierra, las casas construidas hace ya varias generaciones. Todo allí parece esconder un secreto. Paulo Carneiro llega a ese lugar para conocer la historia de sus abuelos. Entrevistando a lugareños, tan amables como reacios, comienza a correr el velo sobre aquel pasado y en cada testimonio la idiosincrasia de la “aldeia” se despliega secretamente.
